New Site For The Free Cloud Epoch

Cristián Vogel

The new crabnebula.dev is live.

When Cloud became free, we said plainly what CrabNebula is for: keeping Tauri a framework worth reaching for, and looking after the people who build with it. Stewardship, in the terms the Cyber Resilience Act has set before us. Our updated site now reflects that—rather than claw-waving about it.

One new section finally covers the important Open Source contributions our team has made to the projects we maintain — one lane per project, one mark per week, seventeen projects and 1,838 commits, straight from GitHub. Tauri isn’t charted there, because it belongs to the community who maintain it. Nevertheless , the Tauri framework gets a first-class mention: our ties are close, and seven of its ten most active contributors work or have worked with us at Crab Nebula. The new Open Source page visualises all commits following the excellent example of data visualisation by thi.ng

Our legacy archive of interviews and posts have also been ported over for posterity. We hope you enjoy the site, have a look around, and tell us what we got right! If you have a suggestion for an interview, or interesting Tauri and OSS projects that could merit a post here, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
